The Champion Steel Socketed Goal is the strongest of the socketed goalpost range. The 76mm diameter posts, fully welded corners, and hot dip galvanised frame make it very strong, hard-wearing, and vandal-resistant. This goal is ideal for schools, colleges, parks, or any playing fields where there may be public access and unsupervised use.
Socketed goals are considered a permanently situated option and therefore suitable for pitches that do not require relocating between seasons. The goal is installed by concreting heavy-duty steel sockets into the ground. Once in place, the goalpost uprights simply slide into the sockets providing a very strong frame that is safe from tipping over.
The ‘Champion’ goal frame is manufactured from a heavyweight 76mm round steel that is 4mm thick. The frame is hot dip galvanised before being polyester powder coated in a gloss white finish. The galvanised base coat provides an extra level of protection against rust and is essential for any steel goal that is left out in the elements for long periods of time. The goal corners are a unique feature of this goal and provide unparalleled strength. Each individual corner is fully welded from 5mm thick steel tube. This unique and industry-leading innovation removes the risk of corners coming apart and creating gaps during use or transportation.
The heavy-duty steel sockets are supplied with plastic lid covers that prevent people and animals from falling down into the sockets when the goals are not in use. Sockets can be supplied (on request) with a locking function that prevents the posts from being removed from the socket without tools. 32mm steel net supports are supplied as standard and all bolts and fixings are stainless steel to help prevent against rust.
Each goal includes a durable white 3.5mm knotted football net. These nets are manufactured from 100mm high density polyethylene mesh that is UV protected and resistant to harsh weather. The net wraps around the goal frame and then clips into place using FastClips.
The 21ft x 7ft Junior Club Socketed Goal is the official regulation size for 11-a-side football (Under 13’s and Under 14’s) and is suitable for UEFA or FIFA match play. The Club Socketed Goal can be used outdoor and on grass surfaces. This goal design has been independently tested to conform to the British Safety Standards by an UKAS accredited test laboratory, in accordance with Football Association requirements. A test certificate is available on request.
Sabre goalposts are manufactured in Great Britain by PMF Products Limited. PMF Products is a ‘Suitable Supplier’ to the English Football Association.
